About the play
Set on a remote island off the west coast of Ireland in 1934.
Word arrives on the island that the Hollywood director Robert Flaherty is coming to the neighbouring island of Innishmore to film ‘Man Of Aran’. The 0ne person who wants to be in the film more than any one else is young Cripple Billy, if only to break away from the tedium of his daily life.
